1:18 Diecast 1999 Blue Dodge Datoka Review

This is my 1:18 1999 Blue Dodge Datoka made by ERTL and is 1 of 2500 made. Released 2005

Its not a bad model, the scale and proportions a good. The wheels turn, the doors open (with dog legs), the tailgate drops and the hood lifts. The drivers door doesn't fit tight to the body at the top but otherwise everything else seems snug and lines up. The doors are not hinged but have dog legs. The paint is pretty well done, the metal blue flake paint with two silver racing stripes across the top looks very good. The overall appearence is good but the body does lean a little to the drivers side. The exhaust and suspension is average for a ERTL model and nothing to brag about. The engine compartment is very basic and there is not a lot of detail. The interior isn't bad, all painted plastic but some nice painted details. The body detailing is pretty decent through you can see the pegs in the headlights. The rubber tires have an accurate tread patten and the plastic wheels aren't bad and are accurate to the stock wheels on the real thing

Overall its a decent piece and I would give it a 6.3 out of 10
(10 being the best)
